All workers are DBS checked so we can work in local schools.

We provide a wide range of building and decorating services across our part of the world, which takes in Hastings, St Leonards-on-Sea, Eastbourne, Rye, Bexhill as well as Battle and the surrounding areas of East Sussex. It’s a beautiful part of the world (we know we’re biased) and our roots here run deep – we really do love where we’re based and have extensive local knowledge.

I have known SDS Builders, Dave Hensher and his brother Steve since 2008 when I first employed them to renovate my kitchen at 72 West Hill Road, St Leonards-on-Sea.

This was a major project involving Building Regulations, plumbers, electricians, window fitters, tilers and a dedicated team of builders employed directly by SDS. I can truthfully state that Dave Hensher liaised with all these tradesmen with complete professionalism and I would thoroughly recommend SDS for any building work you may be considering.

I have subsequently used SDS several times since, to renovate my office, the bathroom, my son’s bedroom, my main bedroom, the front of the house and our roof. In addition, I hired Steve Hensher to decorate our hallway and living room, which was done on budget to the highest standard demanded by my wife.

I was particularly impressed by his workforce who turned up promptly at 8am every day, worked all day without any swearing etc, they were polite, neat and tidy, and cleared up at the end of the day.

I am writing to confirm that I have employed SDS over a period of many years in all aspects of building repair and decoratin and have always been very satisfied with the standard of work.

There are many companies in and around Hastings and St Leonards offering similar services, and over the years, I have tried a good number of them. SDS Builders totally renovated my flat in St Leonard’s. They installed a new kitchen, new bathroom and utility room. They updated the electrics, moved a doorway and decorated throughout. The work was completed on time and within budget and I was thrilled with the results.

Dave understood exactly what I wanted and was always on hand to advise on the best course of action. Despite me not being around on a day to day basis, all the work was done in exactly the way I had envisaged and the finished work was of a very high standard.
