About this project
This was one of our biggest projects of 2025: a complete transformation of a family house that had been finished in painted brick and white weatherboarding. The finished house is clad in natural cedar boards and cedar shingles, with crisp black-framed windows and doors, new flat roofs over the bay and porch, and a new front entrance.
- Project type: Whole-house external renovation
- Completed: 2025
- Services: Refurbishment, carpentry, roofing, project management
What we did
- Full scaffold erected around the house so every elevation could be worked on safely
- Breathable membrane and timber battens fixed over the existing walls
- Vertical cedar board cladding on the main elevations and gable
- Cedar shingles hung on the upper walls and the side of the house
- New felt flat roofs over the bay window and the entrance canopy
- New entrance with a glazed black door and outdoor lanterns
- Black-framed windows and doors throughout for a consistent finish
